Following in his cousin’s footsteps, John began his racing career in go-karts at the Greenwood Valley Action Track in 2006. Since then, with help from his cousin Rob and his Uncle Bob, John has achieved 2 career feature wins in a go-karts as well as 2 wins in Rookie 270cc Micro Sprint competition. In addition, John finished the 2008 season strongly winning a consolation race in his only Regular 270cc Microsprint start, while finishing the A-Main 15th out of over 40 total entries.

• 2006 Started racing career at Greenwood Valley Action Tracks in Briggs Medium go-karts, 2 wins and 2nd in points

• 2007 Competed at Borgers Speedway, Snydersville Speedway, and Greenwood Valley with all top 5 finishes

• 2008 Greenwood Valley Action Track Rookie Divison, 1 heat and 2 feature wins, Moved to 270cc Regular Division with a consi win and finishing 15th in Greenwood Valley Action Tracks’ 8th Annual Blaise Alexander Memorial National Open.
